Children at Risk School (CAR)

Today, children around the world face unimaginable situations. Children are exposed to war, sexual violence, AIDS, they are orphans, live on the streets, are refugees or displaced because of war or natural disasters. Many of them are at risk.

How can we seek justice for these children? How can we encourage the oppressed? What does it mean to defend the cause of the fatherless and to plead the case of the widow? This is what we will discover during these three months of training.

Who can participate?

Anyone who has completed a Discipleship Training School (DTS) can register for this training. This training is intended for people wishing to provide assistance to children at risk and their families around the world.

The training

Every week a teacher specialized in his field comes to give classes on a given subject. Our teachers are not theorists, but they teach what they have learned in the field.

After the first three months in class, you will have the opportunity to do an optional six-month internship with YWAM or another Christian organisation that works with children at risk. We have some internship opportunities in the countries listed below, but each student will be free to choose a placement location according to their preferences. Please note that as this is an internship, there is no school staff accompanying you during this period, but you will be supervised remotely and you will have homework to do.
